Start a Blog Now!!!!
Intro
In this post I write about the dangers of social media and how it might be affecting you.
I will also show you how you can start your own blog where you can post about whatever you want without being forced to consoom brainrot!!
It really isn’t a hard thing to do and depending on who you are, it might be really fun.
For those who don’t know, having a blog is kind of like owning a news website that you have complete control over, you can post about anything without having to worry about some stupid “terms of use” or having all your interests and private data collected so Mark Zuckerberg can fill your ass with ads.
Why?
There are many reasons you can have a blog, I’ll go over a few of my favourite reasons.
Control
On your blog you have complete control over what you post!
There are no annoying “terms of use” that tell you what you can or cannot do since its your own website, you cannot be banned or censored.
Modern social media is filled with brainwashing algorithms and censorship, and the worse part is that its “invisible”, you are not told when your post is shadowbanned, you can never know what content gets pushed or gets hidden by the algorithm, its all fine tuned to control the people.
All social media is made to addict you to getting likes and consuming content. If you want to get likes and followers you will end up just doing posts that the algorithm will push. If your content doesn’t match the platform’s agenda it will not be popular, and I think this is made obvious.
Privacy
Social media is spying on you!
Most people don’t care about this because they don’t think its important.
“I have nothing to hide” they will say, completely missing the point of why it is bad to be spied on.
The data collected from you is being used to make you buy things, social media will collect everything they can from you, they see what you post and what you like, and they will use that to sell you thing you do not need.
Not only that everything you post nowadays is being used to train AI that serves no actual purpose than to further make you lazy. Not only you are getting addicted to social media because they keep sending you videos they know you will like, but now you don’t even have to worry about thing because you can solve anything using chatGPT.
Fun
When posting on a blog you expect nothing. There are no algorithms using your content to addict people to a platform and nothing telling you what you should or not post about.
Everything is how you want it to be, and that alone can be really fun.
Blogging gives you a sense of accomplishment that is nothing like posting your shit on twitter or instagram. Its your own website that you made and you post on.
How?
Unlike signing a deal with the devil (installing twitter) starting a blog has a lot of different methods, ones better than others.
The absolute best way to start a blog is self-hosting your own website, this does need hardware and for you to open ports on your router, maybe even for you to buy a domain (which is like 10€/year) but this is the way to completely own everything and be an internet elitist!
A “funny” alternative to this is to route your website to TOR which is what normies call “the dark web”.
For this website and blog I use HUGO, which is an open source software that generates websites using markdown text, that gets converted to HTML according to a template, here is my theme that I made using Luke Smith’s theme as a starting point.
I will later make a tutorial on how to self-host a website (I will also make one about TOR) and link it here.
Conclusion
I got banned on instagram.
